Nemuno7 – one of the 5 best Lithuanian architectural objects of 2021-2022!

On the 13th of October the award ceremony of the Lithuanian Architects’ Union’s competition “Looking at Yourself 2021-2022” took place at Vilnius Town Hall, where the best works realised in Lithuania in 2021-2022 were revealed. Nemuno7 is among the five winners selected by the international jury!

According to jury member Ieva Zibarte, board member of the Latvian Association of Architects, writer and curator, “the quality of Nemuno7 lies in its undefined nature. The space has its own rules and can be discovered in different ways. This project demonstrates how with limited means it is possible to make meaningful things and how temporary architecture can be used to prototype the future.

Congratulations to the project architect Sigita Kundrotaitė – Savickė and the landscape designers, Ula Marija Bujauskaitė and Rasa Povilionienė!

The main jury criteria for the selection of the winners were: clear architectural idea, harmonious relationship of the object with its environment, adequate use of materials, functionality, innovation, originality (new typology, new technologies, original, innovative architectural expression, search for the identity of contemporary Lithuanian architecture), the significance of the object for the city (social, economical, impact on the image of the city, cityscape), the professionalism of the solutions, the realism of the solutions, and the quality of the implementation of ideas.
